The number of sisters in the mission has almost doubled in the last 3-4 months.  We spent the day together in a sister's conference.  There was a great spirit there and the sisters learned about Faith, Hope and Charity, the temple, health from Dr. Cameron, and modest clothing as well as how to follow priesthood leadership.  One of the things Dale and I were able to share with them was how we have been blessed by serving a mission in our youth.  Some of the blessings we have received:

• A marriage sealed in the temple and the opportunity to go to the temple often.
• Have read, understood and taught from the scriptures.
• Have learned how to listen to the Spirit and have a testimony of our own, not from someone else.
• Seen how the gospel has changed lives and seen miracles.
• Have the knowledge that we can accomplish hard things and most especially have the ability to share these things with our children and grandchildren.

   We had visitors when one of the sisters had right lower ABD pain that was diagnosed 4 hours from the capital as appendicitis.  She went to a free clinic and then was sent by ambulance to a very questionable facility where she spent the night without her companion(along with rats and cuckarachas).  

   We had to call the elders in the area and ask them to go get her companion about 1:00 in the morning and find a place for her to stay because she was waiting outside the hospital.  Sister Z was told after an ultrasound, that she had a mass around her appendix which was inflamed and would cause too much bleeding if they tried to operate.  

   When she finally got to the capital after being rescued by a senior couple from out their way, the

ultrasound, CT scan and lab work were all normal.  We consider this a great blessing to the sister. She still had some pain but she didn't have to have surgery.  They ended up staying with us for 3 days because of Visa and Passport difficulties for the one sister who was a visa waiter.  The last night they made us dinner.  We had a great time.  They had to go back and forth 3 times to their area in the next few days because of the visa waiter going to her mission and a sister's conference which were all within a few days of each other.
