We are very grateful for this last week.  We had the opportunity to go out of the capital to do zone conferences in the zones farthest away from the mission office.  Pres. and Sister Stay work so hard to keep this mission going.  24/7.  On Wed. we received word that we have a new little person in our family.  We are so grateful for the blessings of the Lord in helping them to have an easy delivery with minimal problems.  What a blessing our family is.  We love them very much and hope that our serving will be a great blessing and example to them.
   With the announcement of the lowered age for missionaries, we are expecting more and especially more sisters.  We attended a farewell dinner last night for 2 missionary couples who have been serving at the temple here in Guatemala City.  Pres. Mask told several stories that are worth repeating.
    One day he was in the temple and a young man came in.  This young man looked like he was about 9 years old but in reality he was 14.  He started around the desk in the foyer.  Pres. Mask headed him off and asked where his parents were.  He said that they both had died.  He explained that he was there to be sealed to them both.  He took Pres. to his bishop and they proceeded to do the paper work.  His bishop was very well acquainted with the young man.  He explained that this young man was living with a non-member grandmother who had helped him.  He had been working in the streets selling trinkets for the last year to make enough money to come to the temple.  He was able to complete the work and be sealed to his parents that day.  And what a blessing it was to him.  Every one of the workers in the temple that day was desirous to be in on the sealing.
    Another story was about one of Pres. Masks mission companions, Pablo Chok, who was in very bad health.  This man had been instrumental in helping another missionary who was pinned under a beam in a church house during a major earthquake.  Look up Pablo Chok on the internet. He helped to cut Randell Ellsworth from under the beam by cutting the stage out from under him.
    Pres. had asked him if there was anything that they could do for him.  He explained that he and his family had been sealed but that he was not sealed to his parents and 9 siblings.  He wished very much to be able to do that before leaving this life.  They alerted his family members and started the wheels rolling.
   Pres and his wife had a day off and about 10:20 he had the feeling that they should go to the temple.  He asked his wife, "Should we go to the 11:00 session?"  She agreed so they headed over to the temple.
As they entered, they saw the brother of Pablo Chok and greeted him.
   It's great to see you here.  What are you here for?"
   "We are here to have our family sealed together."
   "Who is doing the sealing?"
   "You are!"
    They were able to perform the sealing for Pablo to his parents and siblings.  He said that it was interesting to have so many people around the altar and Pablo in a wheel chair.  What a great blessing to be able to help a dear friend to be sealed to his extended family prior to leaving this earth.
   
   We have been blessed in so many ways to be able to be here and learn from these beautiful people.

How it is to be old and flea bitten .... now I know!!!  The tell tell sign of a flea bite is tow or three in a row like the ones on the right.  I will donate blood you don't have to bite me!  I got these at the "good hotel."
